Unlike in the picture the device came with 6 pins ('state' and 'key' pins included). The firmware was HC05 which was what I wanted on my jy mcu. But the state pin is pretty useless given that it is always pulled low. While the push button may be used to enter AT mode on power up the key pin also can be pulled highf as an additional facility to enter AT mode.
